Let’s create engineering solutions together
Simon Kellner's previous projects have centered on conceiving innovative ideas for delicate challenges on the nanoscale. Once an idea solidifies, Simon meticulously designs experiments and is committed to dedicate his passion and patience towards the preparation of the envisioned materials. Simon Kellner's expertise ranges from thin film deposition techniques such as ALD and CVD relevant in semiconductor manufacturing processes, over template-based synthesis of patterned and interconnected porous materials for catalyst supports, to electroplating of metallic nanostructures.
Among all the tasks in the lab, Simon's favorite is imaging the prepared nanostructures with electron microscopy and mapping the elemental composition - the analysis techniques that brings his creations to life at the nanoscale. Check out his SEM art collection.
Thanks to extensive training from leading scientists in materials engineering - through his PhD thesis at Imperial College London and external Master thesis at Berkeley Lab - Simon is eager to leverage his skills to elevate your mission to the next level.
